Belt Feed Weighing
For products that won’t flow freely and can cause augers to jam or augers can damage the product belt feeding is a very efficient & accurate way of weighing.
There are several different types of belt feed bagging scales, gross weighing is where the product is weighed into the bag. Net weighing is where the product is weighed into a container or weigh bucket then released when required. For high speed & accuracy two belt speeds are used, one for main feed & a slower speed for dribble feed. There is also a levelling gate to thin the product stream to give good accuracy, along with a catch gate to prevent product from falling off the end of the belt at the end of the cycle. For higher speed operations multiple weigh buckets can be used.
