Packweigh to attend 2017 Auspack show in Sydney

2017 Auspack ShowPackweigh will attend the 2017 Auspack show in Sydney. The show focusses on processing and packaging equipment, and will be held at the Sydney Showgrounds on the 7th to the 10th of April.

Packweigh is fast becoming a major player in the design and manufacture of bagging equipment in Australia, and having a stand at the 2017 Auspack show gives the team at Packweigh a chance to meet new customers, and also to connect with existing customers. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to network with other manufacturers and suppliers.

We have a strong alliance with leading European manufacturer TMI.

TMI is based in Spain and supplies palletising equipment and high speed bagging lines. We are spec’ing TMI equipment on many of our projects, and we are finding that TMI are an very reliable and solid partner to work with. Although TMI is a major player in the bagging and palletising industry, you get to talk to a director of TMI very easily. They are very hands on and easy to work with.

A TMI director from Spain will be in attendance for the show on our stand. This gives visitors a great opportunity to find out more about TMI from the horses mouth, without the need to travel to Spain. Wait! Travelling to Spain sounds good to us!

We hope to see you at the 2017 Auspack Show. We are at Stand number 247.

Some of the features of this machine are
 – Twin screw Auger (our new design)
 – Custom infeed (new design)
 – Allen and Bradley PLC
 – Bag Turner (new design)
 – Conveyors
 – Safety guarding
 – Rinstrum controller
 – Touch screen for line settings
 – Button panel (reset/ pause/ emergency stop etc)
We have manufactured this machine in our Factory in Brisbane. All of our team have a hand in this process – From initial design carried out by our Design Director, Jim Nolan, through to our Engineers and Fitters, and our Electricians.
Once you are into production, we keep in touch to confirm that the machine is operating efficiently, and that bag speeds are on-spec. Ongoing servicing is always important for a machine like this. We have been in business for a long time, and you can be confident that we are there with you for the long term.

Who is Packweigh?

When Packweigh was initially formed back 25 years ago by Jim Nolan, the focus was on Industrial Sewing Machine repairs. As the company grew, it moved into the manufacture of bagging and weighing equipment. Jim, along with his fellow Director Rod Wilson recognised the need for quality bagging equipment capable of solid speeds, and high utilisation. By manufacturing in Australia, there can be a high focus on precision and quality. In some cases, Packweigh imports equipment from overseas, where there is a clear advantage for their customer to do so.

Bulk Bag Machine

Bulk Bag Machine - PackweighWe have recently designed and manufactured a new Bulk Bag machine.

This new machine is a project developed by our Design Director, Jim Nolan.

These machines are used to fill up to 1 Tonne bags.

In this photo, one of our in-house Electricians John is working on the wiring and pneumatics of the latest machine. This is the 4th machine of this model we have built.

The machine operator hooks on a bag, presses start and the bag gets filled to weight. The bag spout is then released, and when the forklift lifts the bag the straps are released.
Production turnaround time for this machine is fast. The first step in analyzing whether this machine could be an option for you is to look at the potential labour savings that it will give you.
Once those savings have been quantified, we can then put a package together that will give you positive cash flow from Day1.
